Meet the Band

Mike Kingzett - Lead Vocals

Mike is our other lead vocalist - Paradygm Shyft is fortunate to have two! Singing since college, he even met his wife at one of his shows. Mike enjoys performing music from every genre and decade and wants those songs to be a memorable part of your event or evening.

Doug Lewis - Keys, Sax, & Vocals
“Dr. Doug On The Magic Sax” delivers the sophisticated and house-rockin’ sounds you can only get from his range of vintage horns. In addition, he’s a multi-synth master who makes the sounds you know from your favorite party hits, and his harmony vocals contribute to the amazing “wall of sound” you have to experience live. With 30+ years of musical experience and a passion for funk, rock, and R&B, Dr. Doug delivers your favorite party hits from the stage and beyond.  
Rob Reda - Guitar, Vocals
Rob heard Ace Frehley on Kiss Alive and he was hooked on guitar. He expanded his influences to include Jimmy Page, Don Felder, Neil Schon, Ritchie Sambora, Phil Collen and many others. Rob is a long time veteran of the Columbus music scene mostly in Pop/Rock/Dance bands and enjoys the stage and live audiences. He’s an equipment aficionado and owns several vintage and late model guitars and Marshall amps as well as his beloved Kemper Profiler. Rob is an IT consultant by day and lives out his rock fantasy at night.

Los Giles - Drums, Vocals

Los Giles has been playing drums locally and nationally for 30+ years. Recording and Performing with multiple bands at bars, festivals and theaters all over the country. Playing a variety of Funk, Rock, Country, Ska, Hip Hop, Pop and Musicals.


Los is also the Host of the weekly radio show Trip the groove Fantastic on WCBE.

Al Fairbanks - Bass

A true split personality, Al has been balancing a career in banking and kicking around as a bass player in Western NY and Central Ohio. Over the past few decades, he has had the chance to play a mix of musical styles and he just “Can’t Stop The Feeling” when 80’s hair band rock starts to play.

Paradygm Shyft is a group of professional Musical Entertainers, not just musicians. You’ll get appropriate and professional attire, appropriate volume levels and appropriate comments from the mic. We work with your PA or ours, your sound person or ours, your lights or ours.


We Shyft across a wide range of venues, genres and artists, and our song arrangements and performances are unique. It’s a new mindset, a new Paradygm, and that’s why we’re called Paradygm Shyft. We think cover bands should bring the best of every generation and genre, then deliver it in a way that’s better than the original.
