Meet the Band

Doug Lewis - Keys, Sax, & Vocals

Doug is our wild man on the keys and sax. He brings over 20 years of music experience to the Paradygm Shyft dance band and his musical tastes run towards funk, rock, and R&B. He's a multi-synth master of the keyboards, and when he is not tickling the ivories he can blow a mean boogie on the saxophone or flute. He also digs sunrises, moonlight walks in the park, and lookin' fly in his pimp hat.

Bevelyn Retulla - Lead Vocals

Bev might be small in stature, but her voice packs a BIG sonic punch. She's been singing for over 20 years and also brings a wealth of stage experience to the band. She loves to belt out power ballads like Journey's Don't Stop Believin', but isn't afraid to shake her tail feather and get down to all the disco classics.

Mike Kingzett - Lead Vocals

Mike is one of our two lead vocalists allowing the band to play a wide variety music.  He first sung while in college and, in fact, met his wife during one of his shows!  They are still married by the way so he must have sung something right!  After taking a break to raise a family he is back!  Mike enjoys performing music from every genre and decade and wants those songs to be a memorable part of your event or evening.

"Boston Bob" Arzilli - Guitar / Vocals

"Boston Bob" started playing guitar at 11 years old and quickly jumped into the '60's Boston music scene. Before moving to Columbus he played in regional touring bands along the east coast and traveled with The Bobby Mason Group for 7 years. His guitar work exhibit his rock, soul, funk and R&B influences and he knows how to keep everyone dancing! When not playing music, Bob loves football and grooming that glorious Tom Selleck mustache of his.

Red Breech - Bass / Vocals / Drums

Red is one-half of our Southern connection hailing from Mobile, Alabama, He is a master bass player with many years of experience playing both bass and drums, including several years touring the Big Al and the Doubleback Band throughout the South. He brings a wealth of experience playing R&B, funk, and country rock.

James Halterman - Drums

James began playing the drums and chasing girls at a very early age. Realizing chasing girls was not a career path, James became a massage therapist. What that has to do with playing drums we have no idea, but we do know James is good with his hands. James comes to Paradygm Shyft with a wealth of band experience and he is known for his quirky sense of humor and on stage antics.

Timothy Neal - Piano, Keyboards, Trumpet

Timothy Neal has is a stellar piano player and has performed in several local rock bands for over two decades. His versatility in "tickling the ivories" is a key in performing those songs with very complex piano solos and parts as well as giving us the ability to utilize two keyboard players simultaneously which is a rare combination in most bands. Tim also doubles on trumpet which allows us to play a considerable amount of dance/funk and disco songs emphasizing a brass section. He is a proud former alumni of the Marching 110 Ohio University Band.
